Why do people lie about others?

When friends get into fights with each other one of them usually starts saying lies and spreads rumors. This causes the fight to become worse and the friends now want revenge! So both friends spread lies and get back at each other. Now other people join in and cause more problems. I think that these friends should talk things over with each other in a calm way instead of saying bad things about each other. They probably got into a fight over something that could've talked over and made better. Now they have to deal with the lies they told and the people that got involved. They spread these lies over anger and that's not a good. Just because you're mad and hurt with someone doesn't mean that you have the right to say things that aren't true about someone.
I think people also lie because of jealousy, envy, anger, and sometimes just because they like making people feel and look horrible just to cover up the person they really are. Nobody should lie about anyone; if they do sooner or later the truth does come out about the lies and the liars so the best thing to do is not to not lie at all. No one will want to be your friend and no one will want to ever trust you.

So I looked at some cites that give some interesting facts on how to get along, make new friends and become more sociable. If you move schools or join sports or clubs and you're not really outgoing or you have trouble getting to know new people these facts can help! If you are good at making new friends and getting to know new people, some of these tips and facts can help you to become an even better friend and or acquaintance.
Making friends is not always easy so some facts/tips say that it's a lot easier to strike up a conversation with a random person if you are relaxed and looking friendly. Try not be be to nervous, just be yourself. Most people are nice and will respond to you, remember that not all people will.
